Dryer sheets, I swear by them. Take a clean one and rub it throughout your hair and it takes the static right out of your hair just as it would clothes. It works fantastic.

I am from minnesota and have the same problem...get a really intense hair conditioner I like...Redkin all soft heavy cream. If you do not want to use it everyday "Sammy" has a smoothing serum Pink bottle also works. Also think of your coat and sweaters I would also recommend a static spray...for clothes...grocery store is where you will find it in the laundry section. I hope this helps!

I know that this stuff doesn't smell the greatest, but Static Guard (the stuff they use on clothes) sprayed onto your comb or hair brush will do the trick! Sometimes my little girl gets static in her pony tail at school so I have her carry a downy fabric softener sheet with her to school in her pocket. She will swipe it a few times and problem solved! It will not hurt your hair at all!

By making sure you use a shampoo & conditioner that rinses away clean instead of leaving residues - (neutrogena is good)
Giving your hair a blast of cold water after you've finished rinsing.
Letting it dry naturally.
Using a pure bristle brush as opposed to nylon or plastic.

I also use dryer sheets, sounds weird but it really works! You can also do it fast, just whip one right through your hair and youre out the door! My hair stylist also told me you can put them in your pillow and sleep with them in there!
