On my last question i was looking at Lokasena's answer and found the Alfr's and i'm going with those.

now i need some help with this:

OK in the first page of my book i'm going to have a battle, and i already know what the bad guy is, but the good 'Girl' that is fighting him is posing a problem for me :(
i need some help to find out who she is.
I would like it if you can give me the name of a character from some kind of 'religion' or 'folklore/mythology' that i can base her of of (not using the exact thing, just using it as some kind of guide)
anyway.

The character of this woman needs to be motherly but always ready to fight to the death if need be.
a protector of a sort. and beautiful beyond compair.

Thanks for your help!

How about the mother of Alexander the Great...Olympias.
She was a loving mother, but ruthless for power, and claimed to be a direct descendant of Achilles.
Or try Achilles' mother...another loving mother who married a mortal and had Achilles, but angered when she could not make her son immortal. She was the Sea Nymph...Thetis. She held Achilles by the 'ankle', or now as we know the Achilles tendon, to dip him in the river Styx. It was the only vulnerable part on his body since that is where she held him. Hence, his death by an arrow through the tendon. Too much Information...sorry. There are a lot of good names in mythology...Pandora etc....

Call her Eve...the "mother of all living" and she was reported to be drop dead gorgeous. And tall. While the Biblical Eve didn't necesarily fight anyone physically, she would have had to fight spiritually...the whole snake and fruit thing...internal struggle.
