I stress, this is NOT a political p*ssing match. I earnestly wish to know how american military personnel in iraq are doing just what the bumper sticker asserts.

So much for avoiding the p*ssing match. Though I have never been a follower of Marx, I will tell you this: Iraqi leaders are not practicing communism.

Perhaps with the exception of "His Angel", this is becoming a joke. I simply and quite earnestly asked why people made a particular assertion with stickers. I got back a myriad of merciless answers that claim that I must have some serious problems or I wouldn't have even asked a question.

My husband is in the military, and every wife in town has her car decked out with magnets and stickers. (I personally have 5 on my car right now.) We are just very proud of our soldiers and want everyone to know it. Mostly, though, I think it makes me feel better when he's gone. If I'm having a bad day and I see a sticker with his unit or something printed on it, I buy it and I feel a little bit better. My magnets don't insinuate anything about how my husband's job affects you, though. They just say how proud I am of him.

While many people may disagree, in some ways the soldiers really are defending "your" freedoms. If nothing else, the fact that they voluntarily joined protects your freedom from the draft. I don't allege that my husband is doing anything for anyone else, and none of the magnets on my car say that. It would be nice, however, if more people would show a little bit of support. I don't appreciate the people who call my husband a baby-killer or a rapist. The merits of the war have nothing to do with any of the soldiers as individual people, and to use your dis-taste for the war in Iraq to make character attacks against American servicemembers is absolutely digsusting. Whether he agrees with the war or not (and I'm not saying he does or doesn't, that's irrelevant), he is a soldier, and he has to do his job in order to provide for his family.

The war on Terrorism should be fought on a global aspect. regrettably, with each and every of the muck being placed out by technique of the Liberal Press agencies no human being is in a position to work out the sturdy being achieved in this operation. the unhappy note is terrorism can not in any respect be defeated, possibly managed or directed can be a more desirable sensible time period. Their perception gadget is so strong that if a pacesetter is killed or captured, the subsequent one in line takes over an no human being knows of the change in administration. i recognize the theory of The war on Terrorism, yet ask your self if we may be able to particularly accomplish our aims. Please do not take this the incorrect way. i'm veteran of desert typhoon a million with Bush Sr. and replaced into in a position to work out our purpose achieved. The Liberation of Kuwait replaced into our important purpose.

my bumper sticker says "half my heart is in Iraq" I've never seen a bumper sticker that says "defending YOUR freedom" but now that you mention it...it's because of my son and many other military family members (and I must say it's not only in Iraq) that retards like you are free to make stupid sh*t up. You knew when you wrote your question that it would offend every person in America that has a family member in the military.

Eh, ususally self-righteous people have those stickers on their cars.

My husband is in Iraq but I wouldn't put a sticker like that on my car. I've got one that says "US Army."

I don't force my opinions on others, because a lot of people are against the war and don't believe in it.

Plus, it is not safe to put a sticker on your car saying something like, "My husband is in Iraq defending your freedom," at least for wives...that is just an open invitation for trouble! (i.e. robbery, rape, etc).

If you wish to know how many military people in Iraq are dfending our freedom, perhaps you should look up excatly how many military personnel are in Iraq right now and add 20,000 for those going over soon. Then, you'll know.

As to the stickers, they mean exactly that. Those people have sons, daughters, fathers, or mothers over in Iraq right now putting their lives on the line so you can continue your sorry existence in this country. To tell the truth, I'm not sure I could stomach the though of doing the same for someone of you complete ingratitude. It's the only thing that could possibly give me the slightest bit of doubt on my pending decision to join the United States Marine Corps.

As to the claims about being there for oil, to date, we have received exactly 0 gallons of oil from Iraq. All Iraqi oil has been pouring back into Iraq to help it stabilise.

Why, oh why, don't you move to a country you might appreciate better, such as Cuba or Venezuela, or maybe Iran or North Korea?

just a few words..................
respect,dignity,seperation,honor

i dont ask anyone to agree with the war in iraq, much less believe what i believe.
i understand what is going on,or what i am told by our elected officials.
i spent 5 years in the military, from 1989-1994.yes during the first gulf war.
i dont ask people to belive and support what is going on,but i do ask that you dont hold hard feelings to the men and women that are in our military.
yes they volunteered for the military full well knowing that someday they might be called upon to go to war and have to kill someone,or be killed.these people are just doing what they are told to do.just like u and i at our daily jobs.following orders.
so if u have hard feelings for anybody it should be at the ones who put our kids there in iraq, not against them.

The reason is: our troops are fighting terrorism, thus protecting us from potential threats. Whether you accept that or not is your personal choice. However, I can guarantee you that the men and women in Iraq feel that they are fighting to protect America.

They are fighting a war half a wolrd away, yes, that does not threaten our freedom now. But we must look at the large political gain this war has, what great profits to reap from this war. The US, if able, will be able to establish a stranglehold on the rest of the Arab nations that hate Americans.
