It's been like this for a few days, and it just sort of happened. I tried holding my nose and blowing but it just closes up again. Ideas please?

You quite possibly have a partial obstruction in the eustachian tube on the right side. That would give you the senstion of a full ear because you aren't able to equalize the pressure between your inner ear and the outside air. If you have a stuffy nose, then taking an over the counter medication to relieve the stuffiness will help that. You can also help things by continuing to blow your nose while holding it, which helps expand the tube and clear it. As long as it is popping slightly, you are doing fine. Relieve the congestion and the ear will clear itself. If it gets worse, or if you feel pain when you try to pop the ear, then you probably should visit the doctor.

For a few days? It could be infected, it could be a ruptured ear drum. You need to have a doctor look into both of your ears and see what's going on. You need to stop plugging your nose and blowing. Call your doctor or go to a walk in clinic asap. You could have already damaged your hearing by waiting this long to even think about seeking treatment.

I had something similar. I thought I just had swimmers ear and now I have diminished hearing that will NEVER come back. Go to the doctor today.

DON'T!!!!!!!
You can rupture your ear drum and that's very pain full as well as permanent.
Go to the drug store and buy some ear wax remover...
if that doesn't work then go see your doctor because you may have an ear infection that requires anti-biotics.

Try this it won´t fail. A few drops of baby oil in your ear. Let it stay for a few minutes.

Do not, I repeat, do not put anything in your ear. It gets damaged very easy.

Likely fluid in the ear...I lie with a warm pad to loosen it.
