Ok, so I'm a sophomore in college and my freshman year I was friends with a certain girl for one semester. I came back over the summer lookin pretty slick (lol) and now we have 3 classes together a year later. Were both interested in eachother and have gone out to her favorite "hang out" place three times. We haven't been real serious, should I have gotten her a V-Day gift?

Ok, I like the suggestion about getting her a card and letting her pick a day to go out and eat cause she works 3 jobs and her schedule is tight. Is this sufficient. How does that sound.

um...sex? lol! no...just kidding!

Maybe if you two likes physical activities like sports, how about taking him out for a day of ice skating? toboganning? Then you could stop by Starbucks for some hot cocoa's.

If she's a bit of a bookworm, get him an excellent novel (a girl novel like "Kite Runner" or "Funny Bones" and the like)

Does she enjoy cooking? Maybe buy her a recipe book, or better yet, gather all your mom's and aunt's and grandma's recipe and compile them into a personal creative recipe book.

Likes watching movies? Buy a favourite chick flick ("Mean Girls"), drama, action, thriller/ horror, comedy movie, or dance movie (i.e. "Step it Up" or "You Got Served") If she likes old films, try looking for 'em on Target or Wal-Mart. Better yet, buy those that comes in a 3-pack collections.

Prefer to listen to music? Get her a cd collection of her favourite band or artist or an mp3 / ipod player.

Here's what NOT to get your girl for v-day: a video game!, and any electronics deemed too "sophistaced" for her to handle (okay, maybe a dvd player or a tv or a radio and the like are passable)

If ALL else seems unplausible then go traditional and head fast to a botanist flower shop near you.

Hope you find your valentine's present soon and good luck!

That's up to you but coming from a girls stand point we all love surprises. If you just want to stay on an easy pace for now why not get her a card and stick a bow (pretty) on the card and on the inside ask her to pick a day you can go to lunch together. That's better than nothing and shows you still care. Id love it.

Not really, but a card would be nice-not too mushy, no "love" stuff, more of a friendship-thinking of u type of thing. Go slow, find out what u have in common, ur likes-dislikes. As things progress, then get her a gift for her BD, or some `other special occassion. Good Luck.

Probably should have gotten her something small, just to let her know that you're thinking of her and interested in her as a girlfriend.

If your worried about it I would buy her a single flower. Something that would express the both of you and where you guys are in your relationship. I think it would be a sweet gesture!

Cheers!

I see no harm in giving her one even if it was just a friendly, sweet Valentine's gift (it's not like a promise ring or an engagement ring or anything). She's your friend, give it a shot!

A gift isn't really necessary but a nice card wouldn't hurt.. you cheapskate.

A simple card and a bouquet of flowers (not roses) would suffice. Depends how into her you are.
