if diet pills really worked then every one who took them would be skinny. Ive my self have tried slim fast and ended up gaining weight from it. when you read the can you can see why. most diet pills are either have water pills in them or laxatives. and caffeine and Ive seen some diet pills sell as high as $200. i believe the few that it does work for either wasnt that much over weight or they needed a mental boost.

What diets have you tried and did they work for you?
here is the one im doing now http://99half.com/diet.aspx its not really a diet just a list of how foods work and it seems to be working for me. but then again all diets seem to work the first week. we will see how it works in the long run.

all of the answers you have so far are right on the money. its all about the quick and easy fix. and some use it as an excuse to use it as speed. i think these companies need to be shut down and made to return all that money. the only diets i seen that do work is weight watchers and they tell you to get off your but and exercise. i read your diet page and it makes a lot of since to me. you have done your research and best part is you have made it free for the public. im gonna try the information you have listed on the page my self.

As you have answered your own question in your comments and therefore it is really not a question, I'll just answer the question itself:
Why do people waste so much money on diet pills an diet plans?
1. Because most people have been taught that they are powerless and that they need outside help to handle their lives. Hence, they will not pay attention to their own physical input nor trust in their intuition, and thus fall prey to anyone who will capitalize on their needs and sell them anything.
2. Because the diet industry is for the purpose of making money, and the repeat consumer would be one who buys things that don't work and then buys again and again, all the while blaming themselves rather than the product for the failure - see item 1.

I think diet pills are tempting because they promise weight loss without much effort. I have always been about 50 lbs over but I only really exercised and tried to be fit. I have to admit I have a sweet tooth. Now, I am focusing on having 1500 calories a day and I only eat foods like yogurt, pretzels, salads, whole grain breads, oatmeal for breakfast, fruits and very little carbohydrates. I also workout 1 hr for 5 x's a week. I lose weight slowly because I am not on a fad diet but I will keep the weight off longer.

No way! diet pills are extremely unhealthy. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies, drink a lot of water and work out 3 to 5 times a week for at least 30-45 minutes each time =] GOOD LUCK

it is so boring - but so true.

if you are more active you will lose weight.

if you eat a balanced diet with small portions packed with lean protein, veggies, complex carbs and just a little fat and excess sugar you will be healthy.

every empty calorie you consume makes you unhealthier and makes your body work harder for no benefit. so have a cookie or two, but not 6.

if you make long term healthy choices over and over again you will continue to see the benefits and never have to worry about dieting.

Because 90% of the people that are fat are like that because they don't have what it takes to dedicate theirselves to a healthy diet and exercise. They just want the easy way out... I wish they'd just get it through their heads that their isn't an easy way out!

Because they hope that they'll work, and are too stupid to realize that they are paying hundreds for someone to tell them information they could find out online.
