I've been thinking about getting a pixie cut lately, and I was wondering if it would exaggerate my pear-shapedness? =P I'm not fat, but my hips are wider than the rest of me...

i have wide hips and totally have a pixie cut right now - it's adorable, and i don't think it looks bad at all! leave a little more length than usual, as that's more flattering than too short, but i say, go ahead!

ask your stylist for a razored pixie cut as opposed to a scissor cut! it's much trendier and softer ;)

edit: as for the girl who said it has more to do with face shape - no, as stylists, we consider the whole picture. for example, if someone's short, a super long haircut looks AWFUL as it makes them look shorter, while a taller person with the same style looks okay.

also - PIXIE CUTS ARE NOT BOYISH! no one thinks i'm a boy!

i would say, though, that big dangly earrings are your best friend! short haircuts allow you to show off your crazy, awesome style. girls with long hair can't always get away with wearing the best earrings 'cause you can't see 'em through their hair! :)

no- not at all. try putting you hair in a ponytail. it has the same effect on the eyes. it draw attention to your boobs- not your hips. If your face is round, it might highlight that, and its probably better if you have a bonier face structure. if you think you can handle it, go for it! But, keep in mind that you might have to dress a little more girly to make up for your boy-ish hair cut.

I believe it has something to do with the shape of your face not your body.
