I've been going out with my bf for over 6 months. Yesterday we were on the phone and he seemed particularly not talkative so i asked him whats wrong. At first he was saying nothing is wrong but then he said "i was just thinking about what if we're not meant to be together... what would you do?" He didn't know why he thought about it when I asked him. After he said that he just acted normal, like nothing happened. And then today he is acting all distant kind of, i dont know how to describe it, although he acts like nothing happened. I'm just not sure what to think anymore. We had a "perfect" relationship up to this point, he was EXTRA! excited for valentines day and how special its gona be so this is so confusing to me.. Does anybody have any ideas on what this could mean? Is he like leading to breaking up with me? ...THANKS so much for your input (i will definitely ask him whats going on but i just want to know what others think the reason behind him saying that is)

If hes excited about Valentines day, he might really be into you and just doesn't know how to be sure that its ok to feel that way. But then on the other hand, he may be leading up to dumping you. So I hope you get the answer you want when you ask him what is going on.

I'm Right With You-Confused. He Might Have Been Having Second Thoughts About The Relationship, But Just Wait It Out..You Might Not Want To Bring It Back Up Until He Does Because That Might Rekindle The Feelings He Was Experiencing That Night. If You're Especially Curious And He Doesn't Bring It Up The Day AFTER Valentine's Day, Politely Ask About It.

Only you can answer the question you have asked. Think about it! Use your feelings to guide the truth of this situation. When 2 people are in a relationship, the cold shoulder usually means something. If it is the case he is leading to breaking up with you. I am truly sorry, how woeful young love can be. Just know that if one door closes another will open. You can handle it, I would suggest playing some mind games back.... If he is playing mind games with you........ It does not have to be him having the upper hand. Why not dump him, and find a new valentine... best wishes.

I know this might show crazy but some guys before v day get cold feet like they are married .You might be looking for something that's not there.Sometimes when people say stuff that we don't like we take it out of contexts and think the worse and get all worked up for no reason ,see problems that aren't there.I'm not saying you are crazy but just play it cool don't be so attached to him give him some space. And see how things go from there .If you show a guy that you are too interested in them they get the big head and make you do all the work in the relationship.

he was probably a little depressed and having an off day or something. Jazz it up a little and go out for a nice dinner on Valentine's day (even pay your own half). get an order of spaghetti or something you can share (Ice cream for dessert is an excellent idea unless he's lactose intolerant.) make him your entire focus, don't be distracted by other people or interesting things. tell him how much you care about him and let him see it by acting extremely affectionate. He'll come around, he just needs some love.

We really don't know what's going on in his mind exactly....only time has the answers. Watch his actions carefully. Maybe he might be having a moment of doubt, and he probably thought aloud. We all go through different thoughts in our head. So maybe it's nothing to worry about. Don't worry...hope things will stay good. Stay your loving self with him, but don't over-do it. Give him a chance to initiative things too. That way u will know how much into u he is.

I'm so sorry hun, but I think he is. You know, if you are a teen like me, guys at this age don't know what they want. Some guys are perv's who have sex on the brain 24/7, but your bf doesn't seem like that... he seems like he is trying to get his life sorted out, and my advice to you, is to just let him do that until he is ready for you again. Maybe ask for a break, and if the break is better than you two togther, then yeah, break up with him 1st.

sounds like a hint to me, do observe the next few conversations with him and see whether it gets worse.. Usually when a guy plays down all of a sudden it is usually not good.

Break up w/ him before he breaks up with you. He's definetly preparing you for a let down.
