Pimples are caused when bacteria get into the pores on your face (or body). Once the bacteria get into the pores, they polymerize the oil and turn it into a thicker "oil" that doesn't flow anymore. This polymerized oil collects with dirt and forms pimples and blackheads.

The BEST thing you can do is to wash your hands and face every couple of hours with warm soap and water to remove the oil. In addition to this, wash your face after every meal and before you go to bed. Even wash your face after every snack. Also keep your hair out of your face AND keep your hands away from your face.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

keep ur face clean and keep cleansing pads in ur pocket or something in case ur face gets oily during the day because of sweat. at night, get a prescription medication called benzaclin or Differin. my dermatologist recomended differen. wash ur face with soap n water every night... a good cleanser like cetaphil will do.. if u want a stronger cleanser, try spectro gel ...n then moisturize ur skin with some lotion. if u wear make up or wat not, remember to use make up remover because if u don't, it'll clog your pores and leave ur skin irritated and oily, making breakouts very easy to happen.
