A&D ointment....its technically for Diaper rash but many people use it to prevent wind burn...treat cuts...I have used it religiously on my lips everynight for about 10 years now. I have never had cracked or chapped lips since. You'll obviously want to carry around some kind of lip balm to use throughout the day...stay away from using products like Carmex on a regular bases as it contains Camphor, Menthol and Salycilic Acid (the stuff that makes your lips tingly)....that will dry your lips out eventually too. Burts Bees has a good lip product. Otherwise chapstick is your best bet although most of them are strictly wax and don't have any healing qualities to them

burts bees is definitely the product to go with. i like the beeswax one (the tingly feeling is great, you know it's working). i've never tried the honey kind but a friend told me that it doesn't have the tingle and that it creates like a waxy layer on your lip that doesn't look or feel good/natural. then again, someone posted that the honey was good. i think the tingle in the beeswax one is better. by the way, the one i'm talking about has a yellow lid and the honey one has a brown lid. burts bees also comes in colors/tints but they're shimmery...i didn't like those as much but that's b/c i'm not into shimmer and also b/c i have 2toned lips...i used to have seriously chapped lips, but after i put it on before i went to sleep, i woke up w/ dramatically softer lips...hope this helps!

Carmax is awesome but it tastes kind of crappy. If that doesn't bother you, I'd go for that. My fave is Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. It's not too expensive and it feels really soothing on chapped lips. For a list of stores that carry it (and other products from the company) check out the link below. (FYI, Carmax can be found at most drug stores like Rite Aid.)

Try Burt's Bees. I really like the honey kind. Otherwise, any chapstick does the job there isn't one that is leaps and bounds better than all the rest. Just try not to lick your lips, that really dries out your lips.

I really like Dr. Pepper lip smackers chapstick. It gives your lips some color and helps helps with the dryness.
