Apparently they don't want to fight eachother, but if Aleksander ever wants a belt in Pride they would have to. Dana White has expressed interest in Fedor, but I don't think he's going to leave his title behind.

"Aleksander was convicted of armed robbery and served five years in prison, where he received some of his tattoos."

That might be a problem.

Actually the UFC was in negotiations with Alexander Emelianenko but they are still trying to resolve the whole visa issue because Alexander has a criminal record (I believe it was breaking and entering, and assault) and the United States does not normally let people with felonly charges into the country

but with UFC 70 being in Manchester, England and if I remember correctly Dana White said there are already 3 other shows planned for other country's this year (Only other confirmed location is Montreal, Canada) then depending on these coutry's visa policy's he may be able to fight under the UFC banner just in those shows. I hope that Dana just throws the people issue work visa's a wad a cash so we can see him in the UFC, he is extremely under-utalized in PrideFC.

Pride will never let Fedor go & Aleksander isn't the box office draw his brother is. Besides, Fedor just signed an 8 fight contract extension recently so he really isn't going anywhere!

Pride makes too much money off of Fedor and will not let him go. Alessandar may leave to boost te Heavyweight division in the UFC and because he can not get a title shot in Pride unless he drops down to 205 lb.

Fedor re-signed with Pride recently. Aleksander would be a better possibility.
