I'm having a Dora fiesta for my daughter's 2nd birthday next month. Since she is so young, and most of the guests will be adults, I'm keeping it very simple. I will be serving Mexican food and cake, and decorating with a Dora theme. No games for us.

I recently found a ton of great ideas for Dora parties, though. This web site has very elaborate games and "Dora adventures." These parents have some really amazing ideas! You should check it out... http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/html/dora.html

I did a fiesta theme Dora party. We downloaded Mariachi music for the party and had a build-your-own taco bar for food. Pinata is a must (have littlest ones go first and keep a bucket of pinata filler nearby to drop by the toddlers so they don't get trampled by the big kids diving for loot). Temporary tattoos are great for that age range and there are Dora ones out there. To go more Dora do a scavenger hunt. Make "backpacks" out of purple felt for goody bags. Check www.nickjr.com for more ideas.

Since it is Dora the Explorer Party, the kids should feel being part of the exploration.Have them sing for example: "Come on Vaminos, everybody let's go......" before any activities. Check out games and ideas from Nickjr website:

Goodluck!
