Okay, so my friend Adrienne and I were wondering: If someones dies due to anorexia, on the death certificate, is the cause of death listed as starvation? Not meant to offend anyone, just curious.

Anorexia Nervosa may be fatal due to the damage caused to the heart either from the starvation process, or from medications taken repeatedly to induce vomiting or catharsis.
In these instances the cause of death would likely be listed as cardiac failure; or cardiac failure related to anorexia nervosa.

The cause of death would be cardio-pulmonary arrest. The contributing factor would be anorexia nervosa. Have a nice day.

she died of a cardiac arrest! no person will understand till the toxicology reprts come back in 4 to 6 weeks. till then, that is purely hypothesis from the media to make up rumors. RIP Brittany! She became a great actress who would desire to play any place given to her! she gave a one hundred% attempt to her appearing !!!! ? Her reminiscence will constantly be there with the aid of her movies :) Pazuzu - infrequently nicely known? are you kidding me! Brittany Murphy is a o.k.-knwn actress except your residing on Jupiter. She has made some extensive time movies- lady-interrrupted, 8 mile, Uptown women,Clueless.

nowadays it probably wouldn't be. Most likely lack of food cause other complications and kill them. I watched movie once where a girl stopped eating and she got so weak when she was scared, she died of heart failure. Not much help there.
