I'm going to have to say she will be okay. I know what is said about chocolate and dogs but we had a Doxie years ago you couldn't keep chocolate away from. Once he smelled it coming into the house he was determined to FIND it and would go to great lenghts to figure out how to get it. Once my now ex mother in law kept a bag of bridge mix on a shelf HIGH above his level while we had gone out for a couple of hours. There was NO WAY he could get to the chocolate, but when we got back the empty bag lay on the floor and there was Max with his tail wagging, licking his chops. All we could figure is that he had gone from the bottom step of the stairs, jumped to the chair, then onto the fireplace mantel and somehow made his way to the bookshelf on the other side of the mantel to where the bridge mix was and gotten it, but it was difficult picturing him doing it without falling...but Max could do ANYTHING for chocolate! Oh and he lived to be 17 years old, before we had to have him put down...old age had caused him to start having convusions and seizures.

The best advice is chocolate IS TOXIC to dogs ! So are Onions, rat poison & antifreeze for your car ! Chances are she will get sick (vomiting, diarreah,ect...) But hopefully not die. If I were you I would call a vet immediately for consultation and take their advice on whether or not she will need to be seen & treated ! Also try to watch where you put things she could get into from now on ! I breed dogs & this is the best advice for your situation ! Good Luck Hope She recovers well !

She should be ok, she might have diarrhea but she weighs enough that the amount that she ate won't be harmful 2 her. Just be careful next time and she may need 2 eat some chicken and rice for a couple of days 2 help with the diarrhea. Good luck

Some chemicals in chocolate can be toxic to dogs, so the best thing to do right now is to get him/her to the vet as soon as possible. Some dogs ingest chocolate and don't show any negative side effects from it, but some do show negative side effects when they eat it. I wouldn't chance it by not taking him/her to to the vet.
Good Luck!!

Chocolate is deadly for a dog. If he feels groggy take him to the vet asap he will go comatose. the only, and the only thing you can do for now is to supervise him, do not let him fall asleep. a dog will digest its food in about four hours so keep an eye on him for that time with lots of fresh cold water, keep him walking. If not success full take him to the vet he his not going to be well for to long.Good luck poor puppy.

I'd phone your vet in the morning and get his/her expert advice. Keep an eye on him through the night. Chocolate is not a good thing for him to have gotten into. If he does not seem like he's in distress through the night, call your vet if nothing more than for your peace of mind.

If he starts acting like he's in distress, get him to a emergency vet clinic asap.

it depends on how much and what kind of chocolate was in the boxes. She should be okay, but look for signs of abnormal behavior or distress if she shows signs of either you should take her to your local vet and explain the situation. I hope your dog is okay!

Chocolate can be toxic to dogs and pigs. Phone the closest veterinary hospital or animal poison control center and they'll advise you on what to do. More than likely, she be sick for a few days, while it leaves her system. Poor pup.

Call your vet. Different amounts of chocolate affect the different weights of dogs.

But she should be okay!

chocolates are usually poison to dogs because they contain certain ingredients which are harmful to them. Observe your dog for the next few days to 2 weeks. If it show any abnormal symptons send it to the vet immediately. Good Luck
