I don't mind once i a while but lately it seems like all the time. Last night I woke up at 11:30 and heard him on the computer...he finally came to bed around 2. He says he only plays the 25 cent tables so even if he loses its not much so I'm not really worried about the money. It just almost feels like hes cheating on me. I know that sounds weird.

he probably meens 25 cent blinds and even at those low stakes if its no limit you can still lose a lot but he may not lose a lot he may be a break even player for all i know my advise to you is to be active in your finances and if he starts hiding his losses or lieing about how much he spends on poker then he may have a problem but please dont nag your husband some people just have a passion for poker and if you nag him it will cause him to lie to you anyway also consider buying your husband a poker book to show you also take interest in what he does i also wanted to say poker consumes a lot of time even if its just a hobby so dont panic yet if your husband watches sports then you probably realise how much time hobbies can take up

I think it may be a good way to relax a little bit after a hard day at work. He may be stressed out and is just looking to enjoy himself, some people like doing coke to relive stress, and your husband plays poker to relive stress so be happy and accept that is something that makes him happy. Just as long as it doesn't get in the way of other things then it should not be an issue. good luck.

I don't know if he's got a gambling addiction but it might be a good idea to check out a good website concerning signs and symptoms
of a gambling addiction and if you feel strongly that he meets the criteria then talk it over with him. Sometimes when I have alot of things on my mind I stay on the computer for hours just trying to get relaxed enough to go to sleep.

my friend's dad had a similar issue with computer addiction. you should persuade him to go to a gamblers anonymous group. i agree that even if they are only 25 cent tables, eventually it will accumulate to a LOT of money if he doesn't stop. if you want to be extreme, put a password on the computer that he won't be able to figure out; or disable the internet, or just block out that website with your internet firewall.
GOOD LUCK!
