Currently a lot of street closers and a lot of filming.. Besides that Los Angeles (Downtown) is going to a Major Transformation... Apartments, Condo's, restuarants, clubs and bars are going going up every month.

Drive there and look. Then again, there's not much to look at, execpt for high-rise.
There is an Emerald Nuts 5K Run on 3-4-2007. Start/Finish at Staple Center. The LA Marathon will probably run through it on 3-4-2007.
