Yes, and I believe she stayed that way. Contrary to the claims of some other respondents, the Bible never identifies Mary as the mother of anyone other than Jesus.

As it was stated when Bonnie played the Virgin Mary in Family Guy:

"That's my story and I'm sticking with it."

I mean consider the alternative. If she went and got pregnant before marriage she could have basically been put to death or stoned to death or burned at the stake. If that were your choice, wouldn't you try your hardest to convince everyone that you were a virgin and the only explanation could have been that god made you pregnant?

lol no. She was a married woman in a time when women didn't really have that many rights. Are you seriously going to tell me that Joseph didn't take his rights as a husband until after the birth of Jesus?

Thats kind of brainless don't you think?

Sure she was a virgin until she went off into the bushes with that little Jew boy and got herself knocked up. But That little Jew boy had quite a famous son. To bad he couldn't take half of the credit.

Yes, ofcourse, and i agree with Meg, she stayed a virgin, as she never got married or have any other children after Jesus(pbuh).

"Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East, She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects, She said: "I seek refuge from thee to ((Allah)) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah, He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son,She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?" (16-20:19)

I believe she conceived of the Lord. She was a virgin at the time.
However, she married Joseph and I believe she had other children after Christ was born (e.g. James, etc.).

She said she was. I believe her. After Christ was born and she knew her husband she was no longer a virgin.
