you leave it on overnight, no it doesn't leave a scar. Not from the toothpaste anyway, sometimes a bad pimple can leave a scar, but it isn't from the toothpaste.
it works by drying, shrinking, and drawing out the pimple, drawing the infection to the surface instead of leaving it deeper in the skin. You use the plain white minty kind, peppermint has natural antiseptic properties, helping to kill germs.

Toothpaste is far too mild to do anything to pimples. You want to attack acne vigorously. This could include taking oral antibiotics, and may also include scrubbing your face 5 times a day with hot water and strong soap - you could even add a little bleach to the water. If you need a moisturizer, use pure Aloe Vera, which is not expensive.
At night you could benefit from an application of Clearasil or some other over the counter medication that gets at the bacteria in the pores.

I use it all the time, especially on blind spots because then they never come up.
Basically the toothpaste dries out the pimple, and it is usually gone by morning - no squeezing and nasty scarring!! Just rub a small bit into it (enough to cover it - but be warned that coloured toothpaste can leave a coloured mark until you wash it off, so dont leave your room haha!), then simply wash it off the next morning! Easy!

I've never heard of acne being treated with toothpaste. Antibiotic soaps work well. Also, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid creams work fine.
I don't even understand how toothpaste would work. With the others, I understand the mechanism involved.

Use colgate toothpaste(white) is the best.
Put it on, dont mess with it, let it dry, dont mess with it.
rinse it off the next morning and wash face with hot and then cold.
No , it will not scar if u dont touch it.
toothpaste knocks zits, boils down, or brings them to a head.

Please please dont put ANY bleach on your face!!!!! That can actually cause burns and irritation as well as blindness if you get it into your eyes. Whoever said that is an idiot. Yes, toothpaste can dry up acne at least temporarily. It shouldnt cause any problems, however, I wouldnt use it long term. The best thing for acne is to go to your doc and get a prescription for hormones or antibiotics. Good luck!

it helps dry out the zit. it doesn't matter how long you leave it on. i mean you put in your mouth everyday, so there's no harm. if you leave it on longer, it actually dries it out. just put it on before you go to bed and wash your face off in the morning.
