Those small round trampolines...they are called Rebounders, and not only are they good--they are sensational! Rebounding is one of the best exercises one can do.
They are much easier on the joints than running. You will experience a superior cardio workout while simultaneously greatly stimulating your lymphatic system. This very important system is the primary detoxification mechanism in your body. Unlike the cardio-vascular system, which has the heart as its pump, the lymphatic system has no natural pump and requires movement/exercise for stimulation. It also is a joy to do--remember when you were a child, jumping on your bed--this is much better! Actually, you don't jump on the rebounder, you bounce. 10 minutes on a rebounder will give you the benefits of 30 minutes of jogging--without jarring your joints. Rebounding requires less time and you receive greater benefits than any other exercise. Chronically ill people have used rebounding as a vital part of their recovery/healing process. NASA utilizies rebounding for their astronauts after they've returned from space. You get toned and can lose weight--but make sure you are also on a healthy diet. If you do not lose any more weight you may want to see a clinical nutritionist, holistically-oriented MD or naturopathic physician to rule out any nutrient imbalances/deficiences/absorption issues/hormone imbalances, heavy metal toxicity (very common), etc.
You DO NOT want to purchase a cheap rebounder. It won't last long and you may risk injury. You can buy one for around $200-$250. If you do not have good balance, you may want to spring for the stabilizing bar. A good rebounder will come with an excellent warranty for both the frame (5-10 years) and the mat (5 yrs, at least). Some models fold in half; one folds in quarters. Easy to store under a bed, etc. I have a Needak Rebounder and am very happy with the product.
Some sources are listed below. You may never go back to that stationary bike. However, it's a good idea to keep it, as varying your exercise/movement is very beneficial for the body.
AND...Congratulations on losing 70 pounds!! Keep up the good work!
Good luck and HAPPY BOUNCING!!
A Massage and Lymphatic Drainage Therapist--I have recommended rebounding to many clients with very positive results.

A single goldfish needs at least 5 gallons, preferably 10 gallons. They are coldwater fish so they do not require a heater, but they do need a filter. Goldfish are a very “dirty” fish as they produce a lot of waste which makes it difficult to maintain water quality in a small aquarium. The reason Goldfish produce so much waste is that they do not have a stomach, only a intestine that runs from mouth to anus. This is also the reason over feeding a goldfish is dangerous and can result in death. The only fish you can keep “safely” in a bowl is a Betta and even that is not necessarily ideal. A Betta requires warm temperatures of 74-84 degrees to maintain health and longevity. However, Bettas do not produce as much waste as Goldfish and in a warm room and with enough water changes (50% twice a week) a Betta can live very happily in a 1-2 gallon bowl. If you have your heart set on Goldfish get a 10 gallon with no more than 2 fish and a good external filter (not an under gravel) and change 30% of the water once every 10 days (this is a generous time frame) They will eventually out grow this size depending on the type you buy.

Congrats on the fantastic weight loss! You should be proud of all the hard work & committment you have shown to becoming healthier!
The trampoline is good "cardio" just jumping on it, but probably not any better or worse than the bike... But it is a fun alternative! (Get a chid involved & it gets even more fun, too! lol)
Keep up the hard work! And enjoy your new body! :)

no, if you plateaued on a stationary bike you aren't going to get any good from a small trampoline. you'd be better off buying a step platform. get two to make it twice as high, about an eight inch step. and use light bum bells in each hand when you workout on it. do you have a heart rate monitor yet? you should get one.

I used to have one. You can't jump very high. I personally prefer a large outdoor one, it's more fun. I would get Taibo tapes instead. Taibo abs and glutes makes me sore for days so I know it works! great cardio too. They do some military style stuff too that's real effective.
