i dont smoke, drink, or ever have taken any drugs. my iron was a little low so i am now taking iron pills. my first baby was over 8lbs, this baby is now only 3lbs and i have 2 months left in my pregnancy. do i have to have the baby early, at such a low weight or can i wait til full term. i am at bedrest now for 2 weeks and have a very important job i need to go to. i will do whatever it is needed to have a healthy baby but cant see any reason for being high risk other than the weight right now of the baby. i am told i am very healthy and so is baby.

I have so much compassion for you, because I went through the very same thing with my second pregnancy. My son was 9 pounds and 7 ounces, but my daughter was small for her gestational age when they measured me at about 7 months. I was immediately moved to "high risk pregnancy" and had to have ultrasounds every week or two to monitor my baby's growth(it was very slow). I was scheduled to see the perinatologist in a month, and it was an agonizing wait, what with worrying so much. Anyway, after seeing the specialist and having him review my ultrasound, he assured me that the baby was fine, just small. After having a baby in the 97th percentile at first, it just seemed worth watching that my second child was only in the 10th percentile.
Sure enough, I delivered a very health 6 pound 12 ounce baby. She has had no problems at all due to a small birth weight, and she'll be three next month. In fact, I was only 6 pounds and 7 ounces at birth, so she just took after me...
Unless the doctor's tell you something is absolutely wrong, please don't worry yourself. The stress is just not good for your baby. Pamper yourself and obey the doctor's orders to stay on bed rest. You and your baby are in my thoughts and prayers.

sweety calm down... Why dont you just relax and think about good things... There is no reason for you to be stressed... Doctors only say that so you will take extra care of yourself for the last couple of months...
