my dog just was in the room across from me and when i heard her bark i went in there she i picked her up and she was crying what do i do please help me

Your dog is happy if you give him attention, take him for walks or play with him and if he has companionship.
Maybe he was crying because he could not reach his toy or wanted something out of his reach. If he is eating and drinking and seems healthy and you give him attention - I bet he's happy.

If the dog continuously whimpers she most likely is in pain and you should take her to a vet, however if she stops crying when you pick her up she most likely wants something from you.

You should gave her a treat & if you can tell if a dog is happy by looking at her tail if it is up and wagging her tail she HAPPY

Set her down and wach her.
See if she is scared, hungry, hurt, lonely.
After a while, play with her. If she reacts playfully, no worries.
If he shies away or acts hurt, see a vet.
