It's almost Valentine's Day, but I don't have the girl?

Ok, there is this girl at my school that I like, but I haven't asked her out yet. In addition to that tommorrow is Valentine's day. I don't know exactly what to do, for V-day is probably my best chance. She's great but I haven't asked her out yet because I'm not 100% sure of a yes, seeing how rejection sucks. If she says yes it will be great, but a no will create a deep awkwardness forever. I don't know how to tell her I like her seeing how I'm kind of shy, depending on where I am. And what to do by V-day? I was just wondering and I sound kind of pathetic. What do I do?

The only pathetic thing to do is to not do anything. I would make a move. You need to realize that rejection is a part of the deal with meeting and falling in love with girls. Some of them are just not gonna like you, and if they don't, then they are the ones missing out, not you. I would ask her out. Don't worry about the nerves. If she sees you being nervous she'll probably think it's cute. Take a shot, man. Don't let opportunity pass you by.
