What would you do or give to someone who told you that they are going to die for you?

If someone told you that they are going to lay down their life for you because they love you and do not want you to fear death and not only that but give you your heart's desire. What would you do for that person? How grateful would you be? I am asking a serious question and would like serious answers please

And even if you didnt want them to die for you, they did anyway because of their love for you

I want to feel the love from the living and not from the dead. I am a person that will pray for God to give me longer life so I can express more the love that I feel for someone. So, i would never know how I will feel about the person who prefers to die proving it.

Tell them to stop. If they didn't listen, stop them directly. I can manage my own heart's desire, and I don't particularly fear death more than anyone else.

I've worked beside some great people, and I've fought beside some great people. On no occassion have I ever wanted any of them to be in a situation where they'd need (or want to) sacrifice their life for mine. Nor have I ever put any of them in that situation.

Now isn't that special. No one can lay down their life for another person. If some fool told me that I would show them where to find a doctor.

There's no way would I let them..nobody's life is worth changing mine. Chances are they could change my life for the better by living on anyway.

Now if he/she is really going to give up his/her life, then what would be the point of doing something for a dead man/woman? Dead is dead.
