I'm smart, pretty. out-going, funny, nice, independent, friendly, I'm a good friend and a good person. I don't understand it. Is it my age?(i'm 30) I have no kids or because I don't really cook.... or what is it?
All I ask for is: a single guy, no kids, no crazy ex, ... funny, nice, friendly.....

You may have a hard time finding a decent guy because you are smart, pretty,out-going, funny, nice, independent, friendly, a good friend and a good person. I'm not kidding. It's not your age because 30 is quite young.
If you were overweight, had a simple mind, plain-jane looks or even not well kept; and you didn't give a hoot about anyone else, you'd probably have an easier time finding a guy because the type of guy you'd be looking for would be more like you and greater in numbers out there in the world.
Don't give up though and don't lower your standards.
And believe me - you are not alone.

Often, a single mom with a bad-boy baby-daddy has learned her lesson and come to her senses. Now she's looking for a good guy who can come to her (and her kids') rescue. If you don't want to be that rescuer, you don't have to. There's nothing wrong with you deciding you don't want to be a step-dad. Be patient. Eventually you'll meet the right childless woman. There really are women who want a good guy for his own sake, not just to help out with the mess some other guy left behind.

You might be in the wrong area. If ur a suburb dweller- move to the city. it has a much higher % of professional singles in general. Once there, spend time in upscale singles hangouts or join a social club.
You might also be a hyper-picky person. Some ppl are simply unpleasable or have some stereotyped "perfect mate" in their heads- which is usually where it stays. You may need to open your horizons a bit.
Last off, smile and flirt. Lots of nice women inadvertently put up unapproachable vibes. Remember, men's egos are sensitive- if they think they're going to get shot down, they won't try. Make it easy. Its a numbers game- more u meet, more your chances.
If nothing works, just go to any bar, show some cleavage, do ur hair, and u shud be hooked up in no time.

Nice guys are truly hard to find these days, especially when most women are attracted to the bad boys. Just keep an open mind and maybe one will come your way. The problem with women sometimes is that we are attracted to the wrong guys and the nice guys we can only see as being friends with. Sometimes you just need to give one of those friends a chance and you may be pleasantly surprised.

There are many more women than men out there and when you eliminate the bad ones you will see the odds are not stacked in our favor....try joining some groups that do things that interest you, this would be a good start to finding someone who you might have things in common with or the same interests as. Friendship first, is a good way to get to know someone and decide whether you would like it to progress to something other than friendship.

You have all the quality's of a nice person,Cooking is 1 of the easiest accomplishments there is. By the sounds of the guys your talking about ,raise your bar higher,find out what you like, interests, joys , pleasures, Find 1 that cooks & have him show you the ropes it can be guite fun.....Talk to them & see if there close to your ideas.If not keep looking its not like there is a shortage of guys just guality.Glad to help you, have fun???

They are out there...Maybe you are being too picky or just not leaving your options open...Think about how you find men for dates or how you come across meeting new men...Maybe you need to take some different steps towards your goal...The online meeting is not as evil as dating men from bars...You have to approach it with your eyes open and your brain in your head....Never meet a date a lone...meet in a public place such as a mall...Do not let them know where you live and /or give them your address...There are safe guidelines for meeting people online...Try looking into the online dating services...such as match.com or any others you may have heard of...My husband and I met on match.com...we met and dated for 6 years and we got married in 2005 and we are very happy...It can be done...Just don't get too down about your age, girl...30 is not that old as you think it may be...Good Luck
