Christianity teaches forgiveness. But I've rarely witnessed it. For those who do practice forgiveness, have you forgiven everyone, including the source of all sin?

Sadly, looking up through these answers, we can see how much philistine influence still abounds. Almost everyone sticking to the letter of their moral law instead of reaching out with their empathy, hope, and love. Their vengeful cup runneth over. Sad.

I've forgiven all humans for the same reason that Christ stated on the cross: "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." On the other hand, Satan knows exactly what he's doing. Also, there are some people who know exactly what they're doing, because they have seen and understood what it means to do God's will, yet they choose a life opposing that. James talks about these people, though I couldn't pinpoint anyone and say, "This person is like that."

Satan is not a human. Why would God forgive him? Satan rebelled against God and tried to overthrow Him. No human has the power to even dream about that. This is not something you need to waste time on. Forgiveness requires repentance-not just saying that you are sorry. We are not commanded to forgive everyone.

This is fruitless for the simple reason God has disclosed in His word that this will never happen. If you are really interested then consider 3 passages:
1) Matthew 25:41
2) Hebrews 2:16
3) Revelation 20:10

The bible says not to pray for the salvation of those who will never be forgiven. The Bible says Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternal judgement. this says he will never repent and be forgiven.
We are to hate evil, and satan is all that personifies evil. he is the prince of darkness. he is not only our enemy, but God's. so no, we are not to forgive satan.

On earth, we do not know who will be saved and who wont be. this means that we should forgive even our perceived enemies, because they may one day be forgiven by God, and therefore are not really our enemies.

Are you out of your mind? Satan is not a sinner. Sin is inherited. Satan is an opposer and an accuser of God. He became this out of his own free will. He abused his freedom of choice, allowed feelings of self-importance to develop in his heart, began to crave worship that belonged only to God, and so enticed Adam and Eve to listen to him rather than obey God. By his own course of action he made himself Satan, which means "adversary." We as humans have inherited sin. Satan has willfully continue to sin. The name Satan was given to him because of his becoming a resister of God. Satan is also known as the Devil, because he is the foremost slanderer of god.

Satan has been condemned forever why pray for someone that has no possible chance of redemption? You probably don't spend much time around believer to witness much of anything. I have forgiven those who have wronged me but not the source of all sin that would be stupid and futile.

1 John 1:9
you need to confess sin.
satan will never ask forgiveness, then he can never receive it. it has already been written of his eternal judgment.
as far as man, the book of Nehemiah takes it further. He "took the place" of his forefathers and prayed as their sins were his own.

try that on for size and see if you have done that for others.

Satan must ask forgiveness himself. I don't think it makes sense for anyone to ask God to forgive anyone else, even if that person has already asked for forgiveness from God personally. Because then, He has already forgiven them, so why ask twice? It is pointless.

If Christians were forgiving, they would not be in so many wars. They killed a million people in Iraq and are ready to attack Iran now. They act on what the Jews tell them to do.
