Shut out the noise, learn the discipline of silence, seek His face, and he will show you. You cannot hear the "still small voice" when you are listening to all the other "voices" out there.

First, a relationship with Jesus is needed.
Second, seek God's will for your life (Colossians 1:9)
Get "surrounded" by solid Christians

You need a solid foundation in your life and walk with God, so serving becomes a love and not a duty.

First criteria, you have to accept that you are a sinner, Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and rose again, and now lives in heaven with His Father, Almighty God.

Second, you need to submit to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to direct your life. You need to become selfless, with no desires for yourself, but only a desire for God and what He wants you to do.

Third, you have to wait on the Lord to disclose how and where He wants to use you.

Fourth, you need to be obedient to the call for your services, and do whatever it is God says He wants you to do.

It is simple, just 1, 2, 3, 4 and you will be in His service, just as Paul was in His service.
