I am an atheist but I know that there is a possibility of a god existing. And if he did exist it would be the god of the deists. But I do not acknowledge that he does exist. Deists however do believe he exists. Why do you believe that there is a being who created the universe?
Thanks for answering my question. Hopefully I did not come off as condescending.

Almost none of you are deist haha why did you answer my question. I don’t like using the word agnostic. I am not a fan of absolutism but if I say I give the possibility of a god. People automatically assume I'm talking about the Christian god and that I have belief. But I do not believe in a god whatsoever. Now if there was proof I would change my mind. That my friend means I am an atheist not an agnostic. Well at least in my mind it does. In a way I'm agnostic but I don’t like being considered anywhere near religious.

I personally believe that the earth was created through evolving, and evolution over time. To me, this seems the only way that is truly logical.

Take a brief look at everything around you. The way nature works. The way your body and mind function. The manner in which things take place at times almost magically. There would have been many occassions when you were lost or in despair and things just happened in your favour. Most of the time we dont realize or appreciate how did the events that paved the way for us occur. All this is God working in the background guiding the entire universe......even if you don't believe in Him.

Actually you were very respectful. Thank you!!

They may help to answer your questions as to why some atheists have concluded that the Judeo Christian God is real.
As for me, what I've realized is that Atheist demand scientific proof. But you have to think outside of the box on this one.
God demands faith in order to believe, and that means that you have to be willing to admit that he can exist without scientific proof. But what is amazing is that a few years ago, although I have been a Christian almost all of my life, I finally had to answer that question for myself. Would I be willing to accept that God really does exist without true proof. I agreed to submit to God on this and you know what, I realized that as I took that step of faith, he does exist.
Some people may think this is just coincidence, but I've seen too many times that God has proven that he exists. Basically in answer to prayer. But it took a step of faith first. By taking that first step, God took a step towards me, and as I go further in faith, I realize that he is very real.

You didn't come off as condescending at all; I stepped out in Faith and took Him at His Word, and as a result, He transformed my life. He's already done everything necessary to atone for our sins through the Sacrifice that Jesus made with His death, burial, and resurrection from the grave. However, all He asks in return, is for us to take Him at His Word that He is trustworthy. Once we do that; take that minuscule step towards Him, He bridges the gap the rest of the way, and you won't BELIEVE how He changes your life! Sometimes, you have to BELIEVE BEFORE YOU CAN SEE! It's really as simple as that!!! TRUST HIM!
God bless you!

Thank you for being polite. Basically I've beleived in God all my life. But what really did if for me was when I repented and asked Christ to save me from my sins. I literally felt like if I stepped from darkness into light. I Iiterally felt like if I stepped into God's presence and everything in the Bible made perfect sense. He exists wheather I beiieve it or not, and I certainly do. Blessings and thank you once again for your respectfull question.

1. you are agnostic, not atheist.
2. i thank you so much for not being rude and arrogant about it
i believe in god, because of the miracles that have happened. im not talking aboutjesus' miracles , im talking about modern, or almost modern times, like in the 1900s and 1800s. like the lady at lourdes. and others, like the fire that does not hurt. there are many more.

When I asked Him into my life ...He showed Himself real on my behalf....once you meet him you never again doubt his existance.
Thanks for asking.
