Jesus was explaining the pharisees that the kingdom of God is not material, is not something they can see or touch, the kingdom of God is spiritual. Just as God is spirit (John 4:24) Is like we as his children; we are the church, the church of Christ is not a building or specific religion. In the greek version, the verse can be also translated as : The kingdom of God is "among" you. God Bless, Keep studying the Bible.

Is God’s Kingdom a real government?
Or is it, instead, a condition in the hearts of men?
Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees, whom he also denounced as hypocrites, so he could not have meant that the Kingdom was in their hearts. But the Kingdom as represented by Christ was in their midst. Thus The Emphatic Diaglott reads: “God’s royal majesty is among you.”)
Does the Bible actually speak of God’s Kingdom as being a government?
Isa. 9:6, 7, RS: “To us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government [also KJ] will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called ‘Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.”
What effect will this Kingdom have on human governments?
Dan. 2:44: “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite.”

It means if you are saved and you are a born again Christian, that you have Jesus Christ in your heart. Well, its like the same thing with the kingdom of God. I you are a born again Christian, then you have the kingdom of God within you because you are then part of the kingdom of God since Jesus is in your heart. I hope that makes sense...I dont know if it will or not but thats how my youth group leader explains it. lol

Perhaps there is no religion, only faith. Or, as I sometimes say, "We are as gods, and the sooner we grasp that, the better off we're all going to be." Everything you were, you are, and you will ever possibly be, is already within you." Look not for God in any church or book or set of rules. You are God. Tomorrow, have a serious conversation with your dog or cat about this. I mean, they have real faith, and their faith is in YOU. Good luck.

That the kingdom of God is not going to be external to us, located at a particular seat of government, but that God will set up His throne in our hearts.
It is no longer necessary, nor will it be fruitful, to look for a certain geographical place as the place where the kingdom of God "is."
He,henceforth, will be found in the hearts of believers.

It means the reality behind the word "God" is All That Is. It is in and through and as everything real, and nothing that is unreal.
It means there is no "outside", nothing can come in to harm you (us).
It means the "kingdom" is everything that we are, in truth, beneath our illusion of separation.

It was a clue as to how you can get a taste of Heaven, right here on Earth. Jesus was saying, do you really want to know about Heaven, just listen to my preachings and if you follow my instructions while you are here on Earth, you will spiritually be in Heaven, before you actually go to the geographic Heaven.
I know one of Jesus' instruction that will do just that?
e-mail me for the verse and why and how it works that way.

We are actually Vessels that God wants to live in and with,
"Jars of Clay"
When we ask Christ to forgive us, and accept him as Lord, he comes and lives inside us, in a place deeper than feeling, or sensation, it is an invisable realm.
"For we set our eys on what is unseen, for what is seen will pass away, but what is unseen is eternal"
We are the Temlple of the Holy Spirit, which is God.
God longs to dwell with us and be in a part of us that is so close, that it surpasses anyother relationship with a human being.
He longs to be so close to your heart that his and yours beat as one, how beautiful
