Good question.

I guess, in order to stay healthy we should eat and live according to what our body is made to do, not by any god but by millions of years of evolution.

We evolved, until the discovery of agriculture, a few thousand years ago, eating raw meat, a few fruits and vegetables and doing vigorous exercise all day. This is what we are made for and should try to do as close as possible in order to avoid illness.

Agriculture (before, we were nomads) made possible the advance of civilisation since we could stay in one place and have time to learn more things. But at the same time was terrible for our health, it made us fat.

I drink lots of water, eat lots of high fiber foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, and nuts, as well as lean meats and dairy products), get aerobic exercise for 30 minutes three times a week, do some light strength training and some yoga, get enough rest each night (everyone is different; my body needs 8 to 9 hours) take vitamins and watch my caffeine, salt, and sugar intake. I've also stopped eating foods that contain high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils (partial and full). Since then, my energy level has skyrocketed and I'm not hungry as often.

Most important, laugh and find hope every day.

Hey Miss P. I walk about 3 miles everyday except Saturdays (that's my shopping day). I lift weight using light weight but long repetitions. In the summer I bike and in the winter, I x-country ski. I also follow good nutrition habits and listen to my doctor.

I also try to get 250 - 260 grams of protein a day. 1 gram per pound of body weight.
