Just wondering, since so many christians always tell people left and right "I'll pray for you" do you remember to do that for every single person you promised? do you do it before bed or immediately after you say it, and how does the prayer go exactly. I'm not making fun I'm seriously asking.

For me each prayer is different accourding to the need but is always that God's will is done. I pray for them immediately because I do not want to forget and it is urgent enough to pray right then. Later in my prayer time I remember them also.

Yes, I do. Right after I say " I'll pray for you", I stop what I'm doing and pray.
If I'm at school or something, I'll go someplace quiet, and pray.
If I say it on the phone, I tell them "hang on a second" , put down the phone, and pray.
If I do it right away I dont have to worry about forgetting.

I find it a little bit condescending when people say this. I sometimes pray for people without saying it (although I guess this kind of contradicts that, but I'm trying to prove a point), because if you truly believe in the power of God, you don't need to tell someone when you pray for them. Telling them that you're doing so is like saying, "Well, I'm right and you're wrong, so I'll pray that you eventually see things my way." Even if this isn't what they mean, that's how it comes across.

well the prayer is just a prayer. I like to actually write down on a piece of paper who I'm praying for and why when I tell them that I'll pray for them, and often at times when they have time, I'll pray for them right then and there.

I pray for the person as soon as I am asked or else I'm likely to forget. My prayer for you would go something like this. Heavenly Father, Someone is asking about prayer and I want to say something inspiring and encourageing, something that makes them take pause. I want to say something that when they read it, if they aren't already saved, the words might reach a part of their heart that has been closed to You. I pray that You give me the words that makes sense to them and encourages them to continue asking questions about You. Heavenly Father, You know the heart of this person. You know their struggles and their fears as well as their hopes and dreams. I pray God, that in the course of this day they sense Your presence while You are doing great works in their life. Father, meet this person where they are at in their life and protect them from the harshness of this world. In the Name of Your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen.

Christians are still humans, and I try my best to pray for everyone. I would be lying if I told someone I would pray for them and I didn't want to. You can talk to God any time; He's there 24/7. He always wants to hear from you. A Christian should also want God's will to be done with that person's situation.

Yes, I do. In addition to the people whose names I do remember, I also pray for "all those for whom I've promised to pray, and for those who need my prayers." That way, I figure I've covered all my bases.

God keeps all his promises and he thereby shows an example to us and expects us to do the same wherever possible so yes I try to do what I say I will, But off course I am not perfect so sometimes I do mess up, unfortunately! Prayers are a regular occurance here morning and night we also pray and give thanks for all our meals. Prayer can be asking God's help with something or it can also be an expression of Thanks and/or praise to God(1Chronicles29:10-13) Ive we are to have a good relationship with our heavenly Father we then need to have regular talks with him through prayer(Romans 12:12) A lot of people through out history have only prayed to their heavenly Father when they needed or wanted something from him or when they got int troubleto ask for help, in praying only for selfish reasonswhat sort of relationship would we be building with him?Not a very good one!!!!
rthink about it if your friendwho said he/she cares for you deeply, were to only talk to you when they wanted something from you, and never even thanked you for things you did for them would you think they were really good friends to you?By no means, in fact I'm sure you would consider them to be not very good friends, rather you would most likely think of them as users, and not much of a friend to you.you ask how does my prayer go exactly, well usually I address my God and Father by name, and thank him for the way he has looked after me both physicaly and spiritually, and that he has granted me understanding of his will and purpose, for the many things that he has provided for me in my life too, I also ask for him to help, the people /I know are having difficulties in their life right now that they may find him andget to know him like I know him, I even try to pray for my enemiesat ant time if I know I have any.I pray for my family members who do not know him, that they may get to know him or come back to him, then I also pray for him to help me display the kind of qualities that he wants me to display to others that will help them see that having a relationship with the one and only true God, is beneficial for having a truly happy life, because our heavenly Father is a happy God and he wants us all to have a truly happy life also, I also pray for the privelidge of being able to help some one to be able to taste and have the experience of how sweet life is when we know the real truth about God and how knowing the truth can set us free from the bondage of GFalse beliefs that are abundant in the world we live in today. But of course my prayers are not always exactly the same, and there are diferent things that happen at different times, so I try to talk to God about specific thngs as they come up and not repeating the same prayer over and over again as some people do, so I'm sorry but I cannot list here exactly how and what I pray for, but I can tell you that if I tell some one that I will pray for someone who has some kind of difficulty I will do my best to keep that promise just liker God does, that is what I try to do so yes if I say I will pray for someone, I do pray for them.

If I tell someone I will remember them in my prayers, I try. Sometimes, if it's one of those situations going south quickly, I pray then. Sometimes, I ask if they would like to join me in prayer.

I have to admit, I don't always remember to pray later. If I skip that night, I usually remember the next morning.

When one prays, you start off with the salutation. For me, I usually address God as, "Our Father in Heaven." I usually give thanks for the blessings in my life. If the prayer is for a person or situation, then I get to the meat of it. After explaining the situation, I make the request I/we desire. I ask for his will to be done, and if it is contrary to what we desire, then please give us comfort and understanding. I give thanks for hearing our prayers, and I close in the name of Jesus Christ.

I do it right then and there. I don't use any particular words, I just speak from my heart. And I don't always have to pray aloud. Thank you for asking. I like sharing a little about my faith.
