I e-filed on 2-3-07. I checked a few days later and the refund status site showed I should recieve Direct Deposit by 2-20. I looged on over the weekend when the irs was having system problem, and it said that I made a mistake. I checked on Monday 2-12, and my information showed up, but I checked againt this evening and the IRS website is telling me I made a mistake. Does anyone know why this is going on? I am not getting a reference code either.

Call the IRS toll Free at 1-800-829-1040 wait for option to push 4 for live assistance MON-FRI 7 am to 10pm
Once they verify your identity they can access your account to see what the issue is.

Good New,I filed on 2-3 and the refund status site said Direct Deposit by 20th.I checked again and it said the same thing like your case.I called ,and called ...finally I spoke to a real person,they told me everything is fine .IRS will send out money every Friday,,just the system.Nothing to worry.If you check again today it will say the correct day is Friday 16th.

This is just my personal opinion, but the same thing has happened to me so I will tell you what I think...lol!
I efiled on Feb 1 and have a refund date of Feb 20 as well. However, if I check the site too many times during the day looking for updated info, suddenly, the website goes to the page that said I made a mistake and to please reenter the info, blah, blah, blah. So, if I reenter my SS# instead of my husbands, and use the same info since we are filing jointly, it will go to the original page of a Feb 20 refund date! I just think it's in their program to go to that page after someone checks several times a day or so....maybe I'm wrong but if I wait and check the next day, it goes back to the refund date, so there is really nothing to worry about! As long as we don't get an error code, we are fine and on schedule for a refund---hopefully this Friday since that is the next scheduled direct deposit date according to this website:

I am having the same problem. I was supposed to have my refund deposited on the 9th. Never Came. Than I went to the IRS web site and it said the 13th it was being processed. Now the sit says i may have made a mistake. Any suggestions. I really need this money. When I call the IRS hot line i never get a live person on the phone. Please Help!!!!

Colorado is correct. The IRS only deposits on Fridays, not sure why but thats how they've done it for years. If it's not there this Friday, wait for next Friday. After that if you still haven't received it, then you need to call and wait to talk to a live person.

I am having same problem. Filed on the 31st of Jan. First said direct deposit on 9th, then on 20th. Now says check will be MAILED on 23rd. Mail? That is NOT direct depost. Of course I can't get a real live person when I call either.
