My hair is relaxed (I cut 5 inches recently because after a surgery, the anesthesia made a lot fall out so I got a precision haircut and now have thick, healthy shoulder length hair versus thick, healthy very long hair) and it grew to my bra strap. I will give you a link to my hair pictures to show you that it is true because I myself am wary of taking advice from people and not seeing what their own hair looks like.

You trim your ends only when you see split ends. If you keep trimming your ends after every relaxer, even if not needed, then you might end up trimming all the growth you got.

When you're going to put heat in your hair, use a protective. If you blow-dry use Matrix's smooth blow dry creme. If you flat iron, use their iron smoother. Use high-quality salon products. Also try roller-setting more than blow-drying. I go to the salon and get my hair roller-set every week because of my circumstances.

Do protein treatments. However get them done by an experienced professional in black hair. They will know when you'll need them. Condition your hair with high-quality deep conditioners such as Biolage's Ultra-Hydrating Balm/Creme.

Take supplements but if after 3 months you feel they aren't working, stop. Some people's bodies' can't metabolize synthetic nutrients as well as others. That's why you'll see some people swear by supplements and some others swear they don't work. My hair grows fast (which is also partly genetic) but supplements have made it even healthier and grow faster. I take GNC's ultranourishair, Biotin, and MSM.

Wrap your hair at night, it helps keep it moisturized and if you don't at least sleep on a satin pillowcase.

I think I've covered everything but if you need any more help, just ask!

i do no longer think of it incredibly is attainable to make your hair enhance speedier, yet you may make it enhance greater healthy. I truthfully have long hair, and at a definite factor, it starts off getting risky. of direction, trims are mandatory to maintain your hair wholesome, yet make certain which you are not trimming your hair greater beneficial than it grows. you are able to constantly ask your stylist to easily trim the main minimum quantity once you flow in. For me, it incredibly is now and back in trouble-free terms a million/2 an inch. I additionally rarely type my hair employing a blow dryer or warmth. The greater you utilize the blow dryer and warmth along with your hair, the greater generally you may get trims, and the slower it is going to take on your hair to enhance. I additionally wash my hair interior the early nighttime so it has time to dry at nighttime in the previous I could be everywhere. I wash my hair another day, via fact washing too generally will dry hair out. For the days i do no longer wash my hair, I basically clip it up interior the bathe. some new issues that i'm attempting: Combing my moist hair with a %. extremely of a broom via fact hair is greater fragile whilst that's moist and the comb breaks hair greater trouble-free. sturdy success!

Are you using a swimming cap when you go in the water? You have to protect your hair. Don't leave braids in too long. Give your hair a rest from them. Braids don't "harm" your hair, even if you wear extentions. But hair needs to "rest". Massage is also good. Condition your hair, even if you have braids.
