Many professed Christians proudly wear His name, but refuse to follow His teaching. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Because the Christian walk is not an easy one. That's why it is called the straight and narrow road.

Following Christ means to pick up the cross daily, sometimes several times daily, and to put Christ first in EVERYTHING. Not an easy thing to do.

So, please remember that only God can see the inside of the people and that those who wear a "Jesus" lapel may love Jesus, or may love the idea of being in love with Jesus. But only God can truly know whether their heart is fully surrendured to God.

Matthew 7:21-22
The Laodicean church in Revelations

Understand this, in the last days, false doctrines would come. The enemy has infiltrated the church into believing that just believing is enough to gain entrance into heaven. This promotes self-centeredness and self-righteousness. This prevents an intimate relationship with our heavenly Father.
The biggest obstacle is when one person isn't transformed by the Blood of the Lamb, instead using God's grace in vain by instituting their own mandate and lifestyle. If there is no change to follow Christ wholeheartedly, then they are treading in a pool of water without making a ripple. Jesus called these people lukewarm, and He will vomit them out in the last days. They will not know it happened.

Jesus paid for my sins & u'rs; he was the only sin free dude (Mary sin free chick).

Anyways, when we sin (as members of the body of Christ) we're the wounds from the flogging, fatigue, torture, and dying on the cross. Each of us have weaknesses that are unique to each Christain. This is why you'll hear chirstains refer to "The Cross we carry" --- we're talking about our sins that hurt Jesus (that Jesus carried around 1977 years ago)

Yes, we should keep His commandments --- but definantly, we should ask for and accept Jesus' forgivness when we fall. We've been givnen a short life to fall, and strive to be divine like Jesus. When we don't Jesus has already paid the price. Jesus can fix any wrong doings we do ---> we need to belive to receive this gift though.

...If you are demanding perfection in anyone, you can only look to Jesus. In John 8:46, Jesus said this:
..."Which one of you convicts Me of sin?" You can find no fault or sin in the Lord Jesus Christ.
...Christians are not sinless, but should "sin less". We are called to live holy lives of service to God and others, and yes, we do fail. We must honestly admit this - I wonder how many Christian critics in this column will admit they have sin problems in their lives?
...When we do we must confess the sin to God, ask forgiveness, and then we press on.
...A bumper sticker has said, "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven." This is true; but does not excuse sin in our lives, nor does it give us a license to sin. God will punish Christians who knowingly sin and do not repent.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

I personally am a wimpy, selfish, lazy chump. I always hesitate to wear His name at all, but when I do, it's in absolute amazement, also to assure you that if He can stand me, He for sure is nuts about You!

You are right. Keeping the commandments always turns out to be a good idea, and I am grateful grateful grateful for that guidance.

With all the different branches of Christanity out there it is hard to listen to what interpretation is correct! Some beleive it is the personal interpretation of his teachings that will allow you to Heaven!

People want symbols to worship. A person becomes a symbol and then it is all about the person instead of the ideas. It is easier to worship the symbol than live by these ideas.

I certainly agree that there is a carelessness and nonchalant attitude amongst many Christians that is disturbing. Yes, I agree, we are called to OBEY.

May god help us...

god bless

How un-Christian of you to question another man's faith or intent of his actions. Jesus will judge a Christian's heart, you should not.

This is really wide open, you will have to be a little more specific. Also remember Christ died for our sins because God knows we are not going to be perfect, we are going to make mistakes.
