I mean for people who aren't chrisitians or for that matter don't belive in GOd, what is your hope?
It's like your lives are completely over after you die. Isn't that a bit depressing? Without hope..what is there to you? Why were you born? To do what? Go to school. Get a job. HAve a family. then DIE?

"Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold." (2 Cor. 3:12) Paul is talking about our hope for the glory of the new covenant in comparison to the glory of the previous one. My hope is in Him, in the glorious life He gives me and I can´t even begin to imagine what He endured for me to have such life. I must be bold for I have such a hope!

I simply hope that having lived my life as a good man, the memory of my life will a blessing to those whom I have loved and cared about in my life. I will die content with that - I am a relatively humble man and I have never really been concerned about immortality or fame.

My "hope" is in living THIS life as honorably I can and making the world better for future generations. Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how we deal with them that’s important; we should try to learn and live our lives as honorably as possible. If you live life to it’s fullest and strive for self improvement, you should be prepared for whatever the afterlife might bring.
Blind faith has no place in Asatru (my religion). No pie-in-the-sky; we must act in this world as we see it and as it really is rather than calmly wait for the next. I take risks and taste the richness of life. Passivity is for sheep. I refuse to be a mere spectator in life. Grab life by the horns. Live fast, work hard, and die with your boots on.

Not having some nice story for after my death doesn't make me want to follow some fairy tale.
It's not depressing, it's fact. There is nothing after death, just like a flea dying. Poof!
