I get them too! And I asked the tanning people, and they say you really can't prevent it, but you can fix them. Take a dab of lemon juice on a q-tip to mix the tan color around the area, and clear up red spots.

Don't tan. It's your skin's way of saying, "I'm damaged." Try a nice tan in a bottle.

put sun tan lotion on the places that you get red spots before you go tanning .. and other lotion on after you tan

Tanning is evil, it does weird things to you. It's like paying money to get skin cancer.

I've never gotten red spots before, I would check with your doctor, it might be an allergic reaction.
