I'm assuming you're using base 10 log, since you used log instead ln.

Divide both sides by 10 to get:

9 = log(I/10^-12)

which equals:

9 = log I - log (10^-12)
9 = log I - (-12)
-3 = log I

The antilog of -3 is 1/10^3, or .001

If you mean the natural log (ln), then your answer will be different. Some fields of mathematics use log and ln interchangably, since they only use natural logs. Many engineering fields use both base 10 logs and natural logs and it becomes important not to mix the terminology.
