I think that it would be difficult. I answered this question a few days ago. If you force a person to do only good, it is not from their heart. For that reason, I would not want to make everyone believe the same thing.
However, I agree that it would be nice to have people live together in respectful peace. I'm a Christian and while I may not agree with other people's religions, I agree that it has to be their choice and you know what. That's what God believes as well, which is why there is free choice on believing in God or not.

I guess that's the glory of humanity...the ability to choose. Haven't you seen the Matrix?
But seriously, everyone has a choice to believe or not to believe there is a God, to believe or not to believe there is a Hell, to believe or not to believe in eternity or evolution or WHATEVER. If your whole thing about this argument is "How boring that would be" then I would say you're a few fries short of a happy meal, because there's nothing exciting about people making horrible, wicked, wrong choices that in turn, hurt other people.
If we had the real power to choose, what would we choose? It is said that God created us so we could choose to love Him. Now, it's obvious that some people don't love God...some don't even believe in Him...but think of this. What in the world would God have accomplished if He created something that could do nothing but love Him? There would be no joy in a mechanical relationship. Nobody likes a "Yes" man, and I think that would include God.
I guess you answered your own question...you can't make people believe something. Even if you could, you probably wouldn't. But since you can't, and everyone has a free will, you should be respectful of other's beliefs. That doesn't mean shut up and never ever talk to anyone about what you believe...but it does mean don't shove it down their throat like they're an anorexia patient. Good question.

I agree with you. I would never want everyone to believe in the same thing, it would take away the magic that diversity produces. how uninteresting would it be if we all agreed? there would be no challenges and we would have no way to learn from each other. I would just appreciate more acceptance and respect of other beliefs in this world!

No, because not even everyone of the same religion have the same beliefs.
And as an earlier poster said, I can not make anyone see the rationale truth of Jesus of Nazareth being the Son of God.
Neither can I MAKE anyone choose to LOVE God and to LOVE others.

I wouldn't. That sounds boring; however, I would also want people be respectful. Pretty much the same as you.

NO. There must be balance in all things. I also wouldn't mind if people could be a heck of a lot more respectful of one another though.

I can't truly MAKE anyone believe anything. I can say things to try to pursuade them, but belief entails free will and the responsibility for the beliefs we hold.

no........if I believe in something I don't need to have someone agree with me. I can stand alone on my convictions. If they choose to believe of their own free will then its a bonus.
