guy (that a girl has been friends with since she was born) says that if he wasnt with his gf he would want to be with her. And tells her that he loves her (while his gf is out of town) and hangs out with her all weekend and sleeps in her bed (but no sex). Then his gf comes back and he says that he Just did all those things to make her feel better because she is going through a divorce. Did he really just do that to make her feel better? or does he really have feeling for her and is confused? or what???

I think that the guy really does ahve feelings for her... only a true frined and someone who likes you would sleep in your bed! Maybe they are just really close.... He just doenst want to break the news to his gf rihgt now. He knows that he likes the girl.... he just doesnt want to admit that to himself or to both of "his" girls.

Buying icecream or flowers or a movie, maybe even dinner is something you do when you want to make someone feel better because of a divorce. However, I don't think you sleep in someone's bed and say those types of things just to make someone feel better. That is going really far. I think he may have feelings but just does not want any drama with his gf.

Only he can know if he has feelings for this girl! He kind of sounds like a little bit of a player though, and he just didn't want to deal with the big D with his current gf.....I think he may just be comfortable with the girl since he's known her forever.

he is a player and you would't be able to trust him. How would you know that he wasn't out with some other girl doing the same thing with her he just did to you if you ever had to go out of town? He sounds like a jerk. He wants a couple of girlfriends and was probably hoping to get some while staying with you and he's mad he didn't get it.
