Well you did not give a source from which you derived your answer. That is problem number 1.
Secondly, just because he serves the Lord full time, and people willing support him does not mean that "he doesn't have a real job." Ministry is a real job.
Third, yes he probably should have stayed at a less expensive hotel unless he was vacation. How can you judge how someone spends money on their personal expenses? Who are you to tell someone what to do with their money?

Why would running his extensive ministry not be considered a "real job"?
Famous people, religious or not, don't have the anonymity we do, so they do have to stay in special rooms (normally higher priced) when they travel. It's a fact of life. Otherwise, he'd get Yahoos like us knocking on his hotel room door every night.

Why should he stay in a dump? He is doing God's work and why should he not be paid to do God's work. Everyone makes a salary for the work he/she does!!!! I am sure the believers do not consider themselves gullible. Most of them will always do their share so the bible can be spread everywhere!!!!

Money has to flow. If the believer give it to the televangelist, the televangelist have to spend it.
God moves in mysterious ways, so does money.

Very little that Robertson does in his life match the gospel preaching and teaching he claims to follow. He also makes annual predictions about future events. He claims to be a prophet and talk to God. Yet when his predictions don't come true (he was one of those end of the world preachers in Dec. 1999 - the world will end on Jan, 1, 2000 - and he encouraged people to move to Jerusalem to be ready) yet people still mail him thousands. Chirstians are to live simple and humble lives here and lay up our treasure in heaven - Robertson sems much more interested in piling up treasures here on earth.

No, God doesn't like that and he isn't a true Christian. He makes gullible people fall for his bullshit. Goldwater was so right about evangelicals and especially Robertson as he said "every good Christian should kick Pat Robertson's ***". Smart man and the last true conservative.

It's typical of a lot of those televangelist celebrities. I wouldn't look to them for a Christian model.
Let him make a trip to Latin America, visit the children, live with them for a few days, at their level ... and develop a bit of compassion. It might change his mindset a bit.
(In fact he might start talking about assassinating right-wing businessmen instead of socialist leaders!!! (I don't advocate assassinating anybody, by the way! Just using his frame of reference).
