Jesus probably didn't save me from carpel tunnel. I'm not entirely sure what it feels like, but I was playing the jimbae entirely too hard the other day (hand drum), and my knuckles hurt for the next 2 days.
However, I think the person asking the question knows exactly what we Christians believe Jesus saved us from. Personally, he has saved me from devoting my life to things that will all eventually decay into nothingness (hydrogen, perhaps, in the event that hydrogen doesn't eventually decay into quarks). I have a new purpose in Christ.

Jesus spoke through my 7th Day Adventist church when I was a child and showed me how it was all nonsense. So, in a way, he saved me from a life of ignorance and superstition!
