I want to dye my hair bright green, or bright purple. My mom has finally agreed to let me dye the tips of my hair, about 4 inches. My hair is darkish brown and very curly. How should I go about this? What do I do?

Nah, kool-aid will only work very well if you use it on fair/blonde hair. Use a semipermanent dye such as Manic Panic, Special FX, or RAW. You will have to lighten or bleach your hair first, though. Also remember that after you do this, you'll need to use lots of conditioner and leave in conditioner on the bleached part. Bleached hair (especially when it's curly in the first place) can get really nasty if you don't baby it. I'd also recommend Special FX over any other brand because it's the longest-lasting, but still very gentle. Good luck!

I would tell you but I don't know how and it sounds like you have really pretty hair I wouldn't dye it bright purple or green

don't do it.
but if you do, here how...
bleach the tips of your hair first. (this is VERY important)
then get some green or purple dye, and dye the bleached tips.
but really, don't do it.

I don't know, but in reading the responses I would definitely not take advice to bleach your hair from anyone who can't even spell the word bleach. It implies their lack of experience with hair bleach don't you think?
