Sounds more like it was just overripe. If it was rotten, you couldn't have swallowed it without gagging. I think you'll live.

It's not going to hurt you at all. It probably wasn't rotten just bruised or a little smashed. If it was rotten it would have smelled so bad you wouldn't have put it in your mouth. Don't worry,be happy.

From my experience of etaing 1000s of strawberries - i live near a strawberry farm no you wont get sick.

I think it was just a little too ripe, not rotten. Basically, I don't think it had any bacteria on it, but drink some water to help flush it out of your system.

why would you eat it if its brown and mushy i hope only for a dare you will find out later if it makes you sick cos you will be stuck on the bowl good luck

Did it have any white wiggly things on or in it,if so they might be tiny worms, they won't hurt you but I would not eat anymore of them
