i can't play my CDs with my media player..why and how can I fix the problem?

ok i was fixing up stuff on my computer and i think i messed up my windows media player coz now i can't play my CDs on my computer and I use to be able. I need help PLEASE!!!

go to windows download site and get all the updates including media player 11 choose custom setup and select all in the file types or right click the menu bar on the one you have click options then file types select all and apply
