what can we do if the dog is too hyper and whenever you open the door, she just runs out.

What I would do is open the door slowly and grab her before she runs out. Then make her sit and stay. She must know those 2 commands if you are going to break her of her habit. When she does sit and stay, give her lots and lots of praise. She'll learn quickly that, that is what makes you happy.

Have a harness and a leash on the dog before you open the door.

(Leave the harness on the dog all the time for a couple days and just snap on the leash when you need to open the door.)

When the dog runs out, give a good, firm resistance on the leash and make sure you verbalize a command you can repeat whenever they run out.

In a day or two, you should just be able to say the command without the leash and all.

In a week, they should know better and...problem solved!

Put a choker collar on her make sure you have the leash held up high so the choker is on her neck right then before you open the door instruct her to sit and stay then open the door and every time she tries to go out before you tell her to correct her and start all over again she will start to understand that you have to tell her it is okay for her to go out.

I'm sorry about this but the answer is simple. Get the hell off the fricken computer and pay attention to your animal. If you did that the animal would respond better. We realize now that you need to pay attention to your animal and basic discipline will work. You don't need to be abusive. But definately authoritive same with children. If you can't spend the time then I suggest you find another home for your animal.

Make her sit and wait. This takes practice but make her do it.

The commands are Sit and Stay. When you are ready for her to go outside you say OK...

You don't give up. If I can get all 5 of mine to sit by they back door and wait to go out, you can too!
