...but then turn around and read their kids stories from the Old Testament?

Reading about wizards, sorcerers, etc. is harmful and detrimental to a child's mental and spiritual health; but reading about the inhabitants of entire cities being ruthlessly killed is somehow beneficial to them? I must be missing something here.

They don't understand the concept of fiction. Since they believe the the Bible is true, and that's all they read, they think others believe everything they read, too.

Can only think they too like the movies and its literary content. All the world extends the knowledge literature is exquisite in a culture as rich as muslim, it comes only natural they like these books, someone pulled a fast one telling success was only in english, though this might be true with these Harry Potter books, don´t you think?
You got it right, fundamental people have difficulties having fun, yet they are enough of people to get by or along like the rest, shouldn´t have to agree on this either.
We can only wait for patience to aid readers into a better comprehension of mistakes and perhaps magic itself does lend to terror. This is my view, I am not biased like some green and yellow characters out there, care to mention them? they could be british too.
People out there are paying to see what comes next about Harry Potter, 9 lifetimes to go, I know. Don´t mind the syllabus pidorum either, Steven.
Allah.

Books like "Harry Potter" encourage imagination and free thought, something the Church has been working for centuries to stamp out. "Harry Potter" books also deal in witchcraft, which the Church has hated with a passion ever since the publication of the "Malleus Maleficarum" (it means Hammer Against the Witches). Paganism and Christianity have not been friends since. Since "Harry Potter" uses lots of Pagan imagery, it's only natural that the fanatical wing-nut branch of Christianity would hate it.

They aren't called fundamentalists and Christian Fanatics for no reason.

Most probably brainwashed to think the bible is the centre of their lives. Whatever is in the book has to be correct. If anything in the book does not correspond to real life, it is because god works in mysterious ways, else real life is incorrect and had to be change.

They need something to get freaky and evangalistic about. Why not something popular. That way all these brain washed 10 year olds can lord it over their friends at school that they are going to hell because they read the most popular books of the decade.

Because they're ignorant idiots who'd rather gripe about something insignificant than, say, war, famine, murder, child abuse. It occupies their closed little minds quite nicely, I must say.

Because fundamentalists are unclear on the concept of what religion is all about. They see all things as black and white.
