I have been diagnosed wih hypothyroid but the only healthcare I have is through the university student health center and the P.A. wants to wait and see if it will correct itself. In 1 1/2 years and I have gained 35 pounds and am depressed and exhasuted most of the time.

Stay away from that stuff. It is not regulated and it does not contain the actual thyroid hormons. It's the tissue without the hormone. Because its not regulated, it can be dangerous. If you have an underactive thyroid and you want a natural medication try Armour thyroid. It's USP inspected and real hormone

OK..as a healthcare provider I'll bite...why are you taking these substances? My guess is that it is some sort of bodybuilding, sport related effort. Kind of like 'you are what you eat'? I don't see that it would hurt you....but for the price, I can see that it will simply drain your checkbook. Just my opinion.
