There are scratch repair kits that use tinted wax to blend away minor scratches. You can buy a kit at a hardware store. To completely remove it, you would have to sand and refinish the entire piece - very labor intensive.

Use Ice and the wood will swell. Than shave it or sand it

for simple scratches, use a felt tip marker on the scratch, then rub it in with your thumb, . any excess can easily be removed from the areas around the scratch with a rag

Sand it and when you do that gloss it .
