I agree! It sucks to be alone! Valentine's Day is also know as Singles Awareness Day, but I still agree where single people should get their own holiday! It isn't fun to not have anyone to be with on the holidays! But then again who knows what is around the corner? You may be single today and then fall in love tomorrow... who knows what tomorrow will bring? Good Luck with your quest for a great guy! You'll find him!

We've been trying to adopt Feb. 14 as Singles' Awareness Day, but V-Day continues to trump it. According to an article in Psychology Today, there is a National Singles' Week, although I've never found out when.

Valentine's is the only "couples" focused holiday I know of. Thanksgiving and Xmas are for family, and New Year's Eve is for everyone (to say goodbye to the old year and ring in the new).

My single friends and I are going out for dinner tomorrow night at a nice restaurant- we don't need a special holiday to have fun!

what does christmas, new years and thanksgiving have to do with being with someone. just because they may have a tradition attached to them such as"kissing at midnight" doesnt mean thats what they represent.

Why would you get a special day for being single. Thats not hard to do. Marriage, and staying married, now that deserves a special day, but SINGLE? Come on, really!!!!

to be h onest with you i dont like valentines. i have a gf and i dont believe in valentines day. i believe that everyday you should love and be loved. is not about one day and that is it. so dont worry about the being singlw thing. be happy about it. sometimes bf and gf are a pain. i am nice and i love my gf but sometimes i think i dont deserve her. is about the person not the day. if you are happy then forget about holidays. live life with love and happiness dont expect nothing from noone. just expect the best from yourself.
