My parakeets name is Pidgey. For the past three days, Pidgey has not chirped as much as he usually does and he spends his time sleeping or just grooming himself. He eats as much as he usually does and he seems to weigh as much but he just doesn't have a lot of energy. Also, I noticed that his chirps are like very high pitched squeeks.

Is there something seriously wrong with him?
Is there anything I can do?
if he has a disease, what is the exact name of the disease?

The only way to tell what he is sick with would be to take him to the vet.

The change in vocalizations and sleeping more are indicators of illness. Don't try to treat it yourself! You would only end up harming him in the long run.

If you need help finding an avian vet, go to http://www.aav.org You can look up vets in your city/state on there. I reccomend searching your state and looking for towns near you.

It could be a few things...He might be molting, which is very stressful for a keet. And they will get very irritable. Molting is when their feathers fall out and they grow new ones. If hes eating normal, and there is not discharge from his nose or eyes, his stool is normal, or hes not walking on the grate of his cage, he sounds fine. Hes eating normal, which is good, and hes not losing weight, which is also good. Birds do get tired, and need 10-12 hours of sleep a night. Make sure you cover his cage, and put light music on to keep him from getting night scares. If its silent, it makes birds think there are predators around, and they will get stressed and not sleep well too. I have a parakeet of my own, so i know a lot of the signs and symptoms of a keet. Keep an eye on him, he should be fine. If any of those signs pop up, be sure to take him to the vet asap. Also, get him toys, like mirrors with beads, maybe a string of hoops with a bell at the end, or a bathtub with a mirror in the bottom. They love those. Give it time, hell probably come around.

You know your bird the best. If you wait too long it might be too late to treat. What you can do is even just call an avian vet and ask if you should bring him in. He could be sick. I wouldn't wait to see if it gets worse because if you do that he could die then.

If you do not have an avian vet. Just look in the yellow pages of a phone book and you should be able to find one. Also, I noticed that someone else posted a site for finding avian vets.

Try some vitamins they have drops that you add to the water . Also make sure you buy bird bath spray to give bath . If the bird is by his self try to buy a female . Mating season may be why he is chripping so much . He needs a lover .

Is he molting? He doesn't seem too sick. If he gets worse I would take him to the vet.
