Peanut butter is actually good for you, it is just very fattening. So as long as you workout and stay in shape you are fine.

There is nothing addictive in organic peanut butter. It is a good food choice has good protein and as some think it is fattening that is a myth to a certain extent. As long as you stay clear from the commercial brands of peanut butter as they are laced with sugars and other garbage that you don't need! Yes, peanuts are high in fat but it is has shown by scientific studies to not make much of a difference in weight and is after all not an animal fat it is a vegetable fat. Contrary to belief, peanuts are a legume and not an actual nut such as almonds, cashews, etc.. So, if you are in shape and only eat it once a day it should be no problem!

As far as the addictive chemicals go, peanut butter likely produces a serotagenic reaction, meaning your body shows a natural liking towards peanut butter for reasons of, but not wholly, including: fat content (maybe your nutritionally deprived), reverse allergic reaction; which, in the case of peanut butter, could be triggering an anti-histamine response, causing you to crave something you're really allergic to; akin to the reverse allergic reaction alcoholics have when consuming alcoholic beverages.

I myself am nutritionally deprived so at times I crave peanut butter, because it's packed with saturated fat, monosatured fat, a bevy of nutrients, protein, minerals and vitamins; a very wholesome food (in moderation).

Organic peanut butter is just crushed or blended(whatever they do) organic peanuts. Usually nothing else. We use it and its awesome!

Anyway, I think you just love peanut butter. Plain and simple! Don't sweat it! Its good for you...as long as you aren't allergic! LOL
